Our Hotel- Pension Im Malerwinkel is quietly situated in an idyllic, picturesque and romantic corner of the Rhine and wine town of Bacharach. Situated between the fortified towers and the historic town wall, below Stahleck Castle on the edge of the forest, with a marvellous view of the vineyards and the enchantingly landscaped gardens, our half-timbered Rhenish house welcomes you. Our large garden terrace with sunbathing lawn, right in the green heart of Bacharach, invites you to linger, unwind and relax.
Our cosily furnished guest rooms, all with shower/WC/hairdryer, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi, invite you to relax and unwind after an eventful day. In our Hotel Pension ‘Im Malerwinkel’ you can expect a warm atmosphere, modern, lovingly furnished rooms, a hearty breakfast in the morning and access to hot and cold drinks at any time. Almost all guest rooms are easily accessible by lift.
In 5 minutes you are in the centre, in 10 minutes in the Rhine facilities. You will find recommended restaurants nearby.
The area around Bacharach is ideal for hiking. Hiking suggestions are available at our registration desk. The Köln Düsseldorfer and Bingen Rüdesheimer passenger ships also have a varied programme for you. You can easily reach all excursion destinations around the Middle Rhine Valley by car or train. Our hotel is located directly on one of the most beautiful and varied premium hiking trails in Germany, the Rheinburgenweg between Koblenz and Bingen.
On the right bank of the Rhine, the Rheinsteig trail winds its way through the valley.
For swimming fun, there is a lido on site or outdoor and indoor pools in the surrounding area.

The Köln Düsseldorfer and Bingen Rüdesheimer passenger boat trips offer numerous and varied excursions and round trips directly from Bacharach. The walk from our house to the landing stages is 250 metres.
Bacharach has a lido with fine sand at the campsite.
Upstream on the Rhine there are other sandy bays to linger in.
You will find outdoor, natural and indoor swimming pools in St.Goar (Rheingoldbad), in Bingen (Naturerlebnisbad) and in Gau Algesheim (Rheinwelle).
Cities worth seeing are: Koblenz, Rhens, Boppard, Bad Salzig, St. Goar, Oberwesel, Bacharach, Trechtingshausen and Bingen on the left bank of the Rhine Lahnstein, Braubach, St. Goarshausen, Kaub, Assmanshausen and Rüdesheimon the right bank of the Rhine.

2017/07/13Zu bemängeln war, dass die Zimmer ohne Fön ausgestattet sind. Auf Nachfrage bekam ich einen kleinen Reisefön. .
2017/05/03wunderschön gelegene, romantische Unterkunft, wo man bei leisem Gemurmel des Baches wunderbar schlafen kann. Der 70er Jahre Stil der Zimmer und des Frühstückraumes wurde durch das modernisierte Badezimmer unterbrochen. Die Inhaber waren sehr freundlich und offen, das Frühstück lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen die Unterkunft bestimmt weiter!
