Welcome to the country inn ZUR BIRKE in Schotten-Burkhards.

You will find our country inn Zur Birke in the idyllic upper Nidder valley of the beautiful and green Vogelsberg volcano. In the middle of a small village, our quietly situated house awaits you with a cosy and personal atmosphere.

Whether for a night, a business stay or a family holiday: In our family-run country inn you will find the right room for every requirement - and that since 1839.
We offer a total of 18 cosy and generously furnished single, double, triple and four-bed rooms. All rooms are non-smoking and equipped with shower / WC, soap / shampoo dispenser, hairdryer, safe, telephone, satellite TV, free use of the internet, clock radio, desk and some with a sofa bed.

A varied breakfast awaits you every morning from 8.00 am to 10.30 am.
Our country-style restaurant has an adjoining room with a tiled stove. Here and at the bar, a selection of draught beers and our wines invite you to linger.

From our German kitchen we offer delicious dishes and specialities of the region. In addition, there are seasonal offers such as Vogelsberg slaughter, potato, game, beef, lamb, asparagus buffet and much more.

If you would like to surprise your sweetheart or loved one on a special occasion (e.g. wedding anniversary), we will be happy to arrange a "candlelight dinner" with a surprise menu in a beautiful setting.

Whether you are planning a conference on a larger scale or a small retreat, we are happy to offer you the right setting for every occasion. Our rooms can accommodate groups of between 5 and 100 people.
We will arrange the room according to your ideas, whether in parliamentary seating arrangements, cinema seating or carré form. Of course, we also offer the necessary conference electronics and flipcharts.

In winter, three ski lifts are available in the immediate vicinity of our hotel, on the Hoherodskopf, guaranteeing you the ultimate in skiing fun. In the winter months, the lift operator opens one of his floodlit lifts for skiers three evenings a week. Take advantage of the opportunity and have fun until late in the evening.
