Welcome to the Landgasthaus ZUR BIRKE in Schotten-Burkhards.

Our country inn Zur Birke is located in the idyllic upper Niddertal valley in the beautiful and green volcanic Vogelsberg region. In the middle of a small village, our quietly situated house awaits you with a cosy and personal atmosphere.

Whether for one night, a business stay or a family holiday: in our family-run country inn, you will find the right room for every occasion – and we have been doing so since 1839.

We offer a total of 18 comfortable and generously furnished single, double, triple and quadruple rooms. All rooms are non-smoking and equipped with shower/toilet, soap/shampoo dispensers, hair dryer, safe, telephone, satellite TV, free internet access, radio alarm clock, desk and some with a sofa bed.

A varied breakfast awaits you every morning from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Our country-style restaurant has an adjoining room with a tiled stove. Here and at the bar, a selection of draught beers and wines invites you to linger.

Our German cuisine offers you delicious dishes and specialities from the region. In addition, there are seasonal offers such as Vogelsberg slaughter, potato, game, beef, lamb, asparagus buffets and much more.

If you would like to surprise your loved one on a special occasion (e.g. wedding anniversary), we would be happy to arrange a candlelit dinner for you with a surprise menu in a beautiful setting.

Whether you are planning a large conference or a small retreat, we are happy to offer you the perfect setting for every occasion. Our premises can accommodate groups of between 5 and 100 people. We will set up the room according to your ideas, whether it be in parliamentary seating, cinema seating or carré form. Of course, we also provide you with the necessary conference technology and flipcharts.

In winter, three ski lifts are available in the immediate vicinity of our house, at Hoherodskopf, which guarantee you maximum skiing fun. During the winter months, the lift operator opens one of the lifts three evenings a week with floodlights for skiers. Take advantage of the opportunity and have fun until late into the evening.
