Welcome to the Gasthof Maxen in Müglitztal-Maxen near Dresden!

Our inn has been a popular destination for travellers from near and far for many years and is appreciated for its good and inexpensive cuisine.

The mountain village of Maxen, in the centre of which the inn is located, lies 8 km south of Dresden and is framed by an impressive mountain silhouette. To the west, the village is protected by the Finkenfang and Wilisch mountains, while the bizarre rock formations of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains can be seen to the east. Visitors to the mountain village not only appreciate the restaurant. They also have the opportunity to enjoy distant views in all directions.

We offer comfortable rooms, flats and a holiday flat. All rooms and flats are equipped with shower, WC, telephone and TV (satellite). If required, they can be equipped with extra beds. Our holiday flat is ideal for travellers and holidaymakers. 4 adults or families with up to 3 children can relax here and use the Gasthof Maxen as a starting point for excursions in the charming surroundings. The excursion destinations and hiking areas of Saxon Switzerland, the Eastern Ore Mountains and the art and culture city of Dresden can be reached quickly from our inn.

In our beer garden you can enjoy the food and specialities of the inn in a cosy atmosphere. Our menu offers 10 regular dishes as well as seasonal and vegetarian dishes and specialities. All dishes are freshly prepared in our modern kitchen and can also be served as children's and senior citizens' meals.

And it's not just in fine weather, for example in summer, that you can set off from our inn in Maxen on a tour of Saxon Switzerland, with the castles of Königsstein, Stolpen or the Rathen bastion. Our Maxen guesthouse is also ideally located at the foot of the well-known ski resorts of Zinnwald and Altenberg in the Eastern Ore Mountains in winter and when there is snow.

Use the Maxen guesthouse as a starting point for your individual discoveries or as a rest and relaxation point during one of your tours. We offer comfortable rooms, a cosy beer garden and delicious food.
