The Krimmler Tauernhaus is a modern alpine base for mountaineers, tourers and individual holidaymakers who feel connected to nature.

Our guests have the choice between comfortable single, double and triple rooms, which are furnished with lots of wood and can be booked with breakfast or half board.

You stay in our new, spacious comfort room for 3 people, which has been designed with lots of love, wood and other natural materials. You have your own bathroom and separate WC, a balcony, a double bed and a single bed as well as a cosy seating area. Enjoy the fresh air, the natural indoor climate and the marvellous view of the Krimmler Achental valley.

You stay with your children in our new, relaxing, spacious family room for up to 5 people and have plenty of room to live, your own bathroom with WC and a balcony. The family room is designed with lots of love, wood and other natural materials. Enjoy the spaciousness, the cosy furnishings, the fresh air, the natural indoor climate and the fantastic view of the Krimml Achental valley.

All rooms offer a view of the surrounding nature and mountains. They are equipped with natural materials, furnished to a high standard and accessible by lift. One room is suitable for wheelchair users. The Krimmler Tauernhaus is a certified health establishment of the Hohe Tauern. Our rooms for allergy sufferers are subject to strict controls (fine dust and indoor allergens such as animal hair, house dust mites, etc.) so that you can relax in a low-irritant atmosphere.

Tired mountaineers can also use our camps, where we pay attention to cosiness, cleanliness and sufficient space.

In the Krimmler Tauernhaus you can expect local specialities, prepared according to old traditional recipes. We mainly use products from our own farm.

Not only the origin of the high-quality products from our own farm is traceable. The respect and values of the Geisler family also flow into the production of the food. Beef and pork, bacon, grey cheese, butter and dairy products come from their own farm, while the game comes from their own hunt in the Krimmler Achental valley.

The Krimmler Tauernhaus is located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in the centre of the Krimmler Achental valley. There is no public access road in this ecologically valuable and sparsely populated area. Therefore, the Tauernhaus can only be reached on foot, by bike/mountain bike or with our National Park Taxi. This serves to protect nature and preserve the alpine landscape that you enjoy during your stay in our house.

The National Park Taxi is available so that ALL guests can enjoy the Hohe Tauern National Park.

With the National Park Taxi you can be chauffeured quickly and comfortably into the National Park. Take advantage of this unique service!
