The Krimmler Tauernhaus is a modern base for mountain climbers, ski tourers and individual holidaymakers who feel a deep connection with nature.

Our guests have a choice of comfortable and wood-furnished single rooms, double rooms and three-bedded rooms which can be booked with breakfast or half board. For weary mountain climbers our bunk rooms are also available, where we pay particular attention to comfort, cleanliness and plenty of space.

In the Krimmler Tauernhaus you can expect local specialities based on old traditional recipes using predominantly produce from our own farm. With top quality produce from our own farm, not only is the source traceable, but production of the food is also a process imbued with respect and the values of the Geisler family.
Beef and pork, bacon, grey cheese, butter and milk products come from our own farm, and the game comes from our own hunting estate in the Krimml Achen Valley.

The Krimmler Tauernhaus is situated in the heart of the National Park Hohe Tauern in the middle of the Krimml Achen Valley. In this ecologically precious and very sparsely populated area there is no public access road, meaning that the Tauernhaus can only be reached on foot, bike / mountain bike or with our National Park taxi.
This helps protect nature and maintain the mountain landscape which you will enjoy during your stay with us.
