Welcome to Hotel Hauer in the climatic health resort of Bollendorf.

The three-star hotel is located in the German-Luxembourgish Nature Park, directly on the Sauer, the border to Luxembourg. We offer our guests a family-run, cosy home for the most beautiful days of the year. Katharina and Dana Hauer are the fifth generation of friendly hosts in a house that is over 100 years old.

The 21 rooms are characterised by modern three-star comfort with all amenities: W-Lan or TV are a matter of course, a sunny balcony with an unobstructed view of the gently flowing Sûre and the densely wooded banks of the Luxembourg River provides that pleasant ‘Wow!’ effect in many rooms. The rooms are all equipped with shower/WC/hairdryer/TV and direct dial telephone. All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. All rooms are easily accessible by lift. Please note that our reception and restaurant are only open from 3.00 pm on weekdays. Three-bed and four-bed rooms are available for families. Children up to 6 years sleep in their parents' bed free of charge.

The breakfast buffet offers fresh sausage, home-made ham, home-made sausage, cheese, home-made jams, various rolls and breads, fresh fruit salad, diet margarine and jams, cream cheese, quark, yoghurt and much more.

Head chef Carlo Hauer conjures up fresh, seasonally changing country recipes on the plate. Game dishes from local hunts or hearty schnitzels topped with goat's cheese in a sophisticated version with home-smoked ham, plums and cream cheese are highlights of the menu. And the real beef roulades with apple red cabbage are legendary! The restaurant serves the best of regional cuisine, with a successful blend of tradition and modern creativity. Even discerning Luxembourgian gourmets travelling from the nearby Grand Duchy are impressed by Carlo Hauer's style. The homemade liqueurs, his own honey as well as the homemade smoked ham and lard give the menus a distinctive flavour or round off the dishes... Delicacies handmade with love and time.

Our tailor-made excursion tips, which we give our guests every morning, also contribute to a carefree sense of well-being: a delicious breakfast and then simply set off for a perfect day's holiday! Hikers who want to explore the countless trekking and climbing routes in the southern Eifel or in Luxembourg's Mullerthal region will feel right at home with us. Cyclists have come to the right place, as our hotel is located directly on the Sauertal cycle path, which is part of a dense network of cycle paths to the Moselle and the maars of the Vulkaneifel.

We have a special place in our hearts for motorcyclists who love the winding mountain roads of the Eifel and Ardennes: With a motorbike garage, suitable drying rooms and special lockers for motorbike clothing, our house is an ideal holiday home for spirited biker holidays.
